(A) Facilities Management 
Creating and maintaining an efficient working environment is one of the largest overheads that a company has to bear. An occupier is responsible not only for funding the planning, design and fit out, but also the ongoing support and servicing of the space that has been created for the organization. The costs that this entails, usually represents the largest financial expenditure after payroll.
At SMV, our aim is to provide you with a tailor made facilities management service to improve the day to day running of your workplace and to reflect the image you want to create for both staff and clients. We provide a complete range of services that relate to activities necessary for a company to function, but are outside of their control, efficiently and economically, with minimum input from the client. This is achieved successfully by integrating the SMV team with the client so that day to day interface is seamless.
SMV provides a single monthly invoice for all SMV related costs, supported by a detailed financial report summary of all costs incurred.
SMV is committed to deliver cost effective Facilities Management, providing the client with an ever improving level of service. We can achieve this by integrating with the client's personnel, adopting a flexible approach and operating an open book policy between the client and SMV.

(B) M&E Maintenance Management 
The maintenance of mechanical and electrical services in any building is a significant overhead. It is essential therefore, that the equipment installed is maintained cost effectively, without compromising the ability of the building to function. SMV can demonstrate considerable experience in the management of both in house maintenance staff and in the use of specialist contractors over a wide range of building types.
Every building and the use of it in whole or part, is unique. Typically however, there will be systems or services that are critical to the business function. SMV will work with the client to identify these and to develop a cost effective maintenance regime, to ensure that these are reliable.
As part of the service provided, we can offer assistance with the budget process, forecasting life span of equipment installed and projected expenditure to repair or replace over the short, medium and longer-term occupancy of the premises involved.
A solid foundation of planned preventative maintenance is enhanced by superior project management capability at SMV offering a complete solution to customers in all aspects of M&E services.

The scope of work we cover encompasses all aspects of mechanical and electrical maintenance, alongside the traditional handyman duties, building fabric repairs and other aspects of technical building services.
We provide our customers with a choice of service level options to suit their individual business requirements:
1. Permanent on-site expertise Engineering resources dedicated to our customers' business on a permanent basis, providing services throughout the period. 
2. Shared service maintenance Engineers dedicated to a group of customers whose individual maintenance requirements are insufficient for a fully dedicated person. 
3. 24 Hour response, maintenance and repair We provide an emergency response service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We aim to respond to all call-outs through our helpdesk within specified time limits. 
4. Minor mechanical & electrical small works We will undertake small installation works for our customers 
5. Minor refurbishment We will undertake routine replacement and upgrade projects for our customers. 

6. Mechanical & electrical Projects We will undertake installation projects for our customers. 

(C) Sales and Distribution

We sell and distribute a lot of products ranging from beverages, detergents, cereals etc. We distribute to small and large retailers including super market chains. We also supply to homes and offices beverages and toiletries.

(D) Agriculture

We are involved in the following agricultural activities:
1. Farming; we produce various crops like: maize , millet, rice sorghum ,beans , tomatoes, vegetables, mangoes, banana and guava. Our farms are located at Marawa (Kano-hadeijia road, Jigawa), Biye Village ( behind Shira teaching hospital, zaria),tiga ( kano- jos road), Zaria- Birnin gwari road.
2. Poultry; we produce eggs and chicken in our zaria poultry farm which has capacity of over 500 eggs daily and Suleja farm with a capacity of over 1000 eggs.
3. Fishery; we have a fish pond situated at Naibawa quarters, kano that produces several kinds of fish with a capacity for 6000 fish per annum.
